CCFR Holds International Forum with NRI

On April 27, 2010, the China Center for Financial Research (CCFR) co-held an international forum with Nomura Research Institute (NRI) on the prospects of Chinese capital market in the next decade.

Chinese capital market developed rapidly in past twenty years, completing a process that used to take hundreds of years in developed markets. The next decade will be an especially critical period for the capital market in China, and scholars are generally concerned about how to deal with challenges, seize opportunities and optimize future development.

On the forum, Tsinghua SEM’s Associate Dean Professor LIAO Li delivered a report entitled “Prospects of Chinese Capital Market in the Next Decade.” The report described the situation in Chinese capital market, and compared it with data from developed markets.

Present at the forum were also LI Xunlei, Chief Economist of Guotai Jun’an Securities, FAN Huijuan, Vice President of Nanjing Securities, and LI Liming, Executive Director of China Merchant Securities.
