Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM) completed the on-site review for the China Advanced Management Education Accreditation (CAMEA) from December 26 to 27, 2024, marking an important milestone. The school became the one of the first institutions to go through this process under CAMEA's updated framework, which offers a comprehensive assessment of the educational quality of Tsinghua SEM's MBA and EMBA programs.
Launched in 2012, CAMEA is China's first professional postgraduate degree education quality certification. It is jointly organized by China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center (CDGDC) and China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee (CNMESC), and aims to continuously enhance the quality of business management education in China. Tsinghua SEM was among the first institutions to pass this accreditation in 2012.
CAMEA updated its accreditation standards in 2024 and introduced the RAISE framework (Responsible education, Ability orientation, Industry-education integration, Social impact, and Enabling system).
During the accreditation meeting, Qi Yanwei, deputy director general of China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center, said that CAMEA accreditation was the first professional degree education quality accreditation jointly organized by the Degree Center and the MBA Steering Committee, and it has played a significant role in creating and establishing a Chinese educational accreditation brand and leading the development of high-quality management education in China. He said the new RAISE framework aligns closely with the requirements for high-quality development of professional postgraduate education in China, and the new standards further emphasize goal orientation, value leadership, and meet societal needs, while also highlighting the integration of industry and education, technology - driven learning, and digital empowerment.
