An outstanding student in academic achievement as well as many other fields, HUANG Cheng is a member of the “Endless Water” start-up business team under Tsinghua x-lab. She contributed to the team’s regional first place in China this October in the Intel-Berkeley Global Technology Innovation competition. She was the bronze medalist in the free style swimming competition and silver medalist in high jump event in the 2011-2012 Tsinghua Ma Yuehan Cup. Her silver medal in the 8th “Tsinghua Debate” competition and active stage role in the play group under the Tsinghua Art Troup proves she does not only excel physically but also have a quick tongue. This young lady also has a kind and broad heart, for 6 years she supported a financially difficult student in Xiushui County, Jiangxi province with various scholarships she won. She gave up the opportunity to enroll directly into the master program for finance and joined the Teaching Assistance Group of Graduates instead. At the Q&A session of the scholarship award event on October 31, facing with the challenging judge panel, she won a big applause for her answer to the question on “return on investment”. She said “Education is a long term investment, which in the long run would truly give high return.” She came out the 5th place in the debate contest.
