Professor Zhou Junjie becomes Associate Editor of Journal of Economic Theory

Professor Zhou Junjie, a professor from the Department of Economics of Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM), recently accepted an invitation from the top international journal, the Journal of Economic Theory to become its associate editor with an initial tenure of three years.

The Journal of Economic Theory, established in 1969, is published by Elsevier. It is a highly impactful international journal in the field of theoretical economics, and plays an important role in the frontier development of theoretical economics.


Zhou Junjie graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a doctorate in mathematics, and is currently a professor at the Department of Economics of Tsinghua SEM. His research is focused on industrial organization and the economics of networks. He has published more than 20 articles in various world-famous journals related to economics and operations research, such as the American Economic Review, The Review of Economic Studies, the Journal of Economic Theory, the American Economic Journal: Microeconomics, The Economic Journal, The RAND Journal of Economics, the International Economic Review, Games and Economic Behavior, Operations Research, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management and Production and Operations Management. Currently, he is also an associate editor with The RAND Journal of Economics.


Professor Zhou's assumption of the associate editor role at the Journal of Economic Theory is an indication of the recognition his research and academic achievements have received from peers both at home and abroad. It also demonstrates the accomplishments of Tsinghua University and Tsinghua SEM in promoting disciplinary development, facilitating and supporting teachers' growth, and building an academic high ground with international impact. Zhou's acceptance of the role will further increase Tsinghua SEM's international academic impact, and facilitate the construction and development of related disciplines.
