President CHEN chatted with faculty and students from the start-up and innovation teams and reviewed the progress of x-lab. Professor ZHANG Wei, Director of Tsinghua x-lab reported the start-up process since this April. The Tsinghua x-lab aims at supporting and providing resources for all Tsinghua students, faculty, young students and alumni to nurture their creative, innovative and entrepreneurial skills and capability via multiple channels. It focuses on development of talent pools for innovation, centering on learning, activities, network resource and cultivation.  It also offers on campus angel investment and business advisory service via “speed-up program”, “start-up plan” and bridges project teams with MBA students. The site has attracted 118 innovative or start-up projects in the past 6 months. It officially started service on October 16, 2013.
