Dr. Yibing Wu before becoming Director of McKinsey and Leader of McKinsey's Asia-Pacific Merger Management Practice was previously the managing director of Beijing Office. He has served wide range of clients inChina, across Asia-Pacific, and in theU.S., with an emphasis on merger management and corporate finance. Some of his recent experience includes: From 2005 to 2007, Dr. Wu worked full time at Lenovo, first as the Chief Integration Officer, then as the Chief Strategy Officer, and most recently as Chief Transformation Officer and CIO. He led the post merger integration task force in more than 70 countries to integrate IBM PCD with Lenovo after the landmark acquisition, and led the new-co strategy development, transaction negotiation, organization design, business process transformation, and the new strategic IT system building. Dr. Wu's other merger management experience includes: Supporting an acquisition of aUScompany by a major Korean chemical company Supporting the overseas expansion of a leading Chinese consumer electronics company ?Leading the integration effort for one of the world's largest telecom equipment maker? Co-leading the integration of one of the Asia's largest transportation company ?Participating in the integration of one of world's largest pharmaceutical company Dr. Wu has wide range of corporate finance experience and broad client base across various sectors like Telecom, High Tech, Banking and Insurance, and Energy by leading more than ?Dozen leading Chinese companies to IPO in Hong Kong and US markets. ?Half a dozen M&A strategy and negotiation support Dr. Wu is advisory board member of China Unicom and Legend Venture Capital ; board member of China Social Entrepreneur Foundation and Firm Learning Board of McKinsey. Dr. Wu holds a PhD degree fromHarvardUniversityand a B.S. degree fromUniversityofScienceand Technology of China. Dr. Wu is a native speaker of Chinese and is fluent in English .
