Alexis Bonhomme (博远), a member of the Tsinghua-INSEAD Dual Degree Executive MBA (TIEMBA) Class of 2025, is a global executive and entrepreneur with over 15 years of leadership experience in the luxury, strategy, and digital sectors. Based in Shanghai, he recently reflected on his journey with Tsinghua SEM and TIEMBA.

Bonhomme began his career at Tencent before co-founding CuriosityChina in 2013, a digital marketing company specializing in the Chinese market. Following its acquisition by global luxury e-commerce platform Farfetch in 2018, Bonhomme joined Farfetch where he held several senior leadership roles, including vice president for Greater China & Asia Pacific and later vice president of global industry partnerships. At these positions, he led brand partnerships, commercial development, marketing, digital services, and strategic projects across the region and globally.
In 2025, Bonhomme returned to his entrepreneurial roots and founded Trinity Asia, where he now serves as founder and CEO. The company empowers luxury brands to connect with today and tomorrow's Asian consumers through strategy, data, and digital innovation. Operating across the Greater China region, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia, Trinity provides tailored solutions that help brands thrive in Asia's fast-evolving luxury landscape.

In 2021, Bonhomme enrolled in the TIEMBA program not just for advanced business theory, but for fresh perspective, deeper insight, and personal reinvention. "The TIEMBA journey has exceeded all expectations," he said.
From the start, the diversity of the program stood as one of its most distinctive strengths. With classmates from more than 20 countries and industries ranging from finance and pharmaceuticals to AI and consumer goods, each conversation — whether in a classroom in Fontainebleau or over dinner in Beijing — offered a prism through which to examine shared global challenges. In an increasingly fragmented world, the power of such cross-cultural learning cannot be overstated.
The geographic breadth of the program offered another transformative dimension for Bonhomme. The four campuses — INSEAD's Fontainebleau, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, and Tsinghua University in Beijing — provided him not only academic richness but a lived experience of global dynamics. Bonhomme embraced fresh insights in each city: the geopolitical complexity of the Middle East, the precision and speed of Southeast Asia, the intellectual depth of Europe, and the economic gravity of China. For a leader navigating the currents of globalization, this course structure offers something rare and essential: a decisive, panoramic view of how the world is evolving.

TIEMBA's academic rigor is equally unmatched. The faculty — from both INSEAD and Tsinghua — are not only globally respected scholars but also exceptional facilitators of discussion, challenge, and insight. "Their ability to connect theory to real-world application has been vital. Whether grappling with macroeconomic trends, organizational behavior, or strategy under uncertainty, the classroom became a place not just for learning — but for reframing the questions that define leadership," Bonhomme said.
Bonhomme's career has spanned multiple continents and diverse business models. With each professional chapter, the stakes have grown more complex, and the questions more nuanced. In his view, TIEMBA offered not just the tools, but the space and perspective to reflect, grow, and recalibrate.
As an entrepreneur and C-suite executive, Bonhomme particularly valued how the program fueled both personal insight and professional foresight. It provided access to a global network of brilliant minds — peers and professors alike — and embedded a mindset of continuous, lifelong learning. He said, "In a world where transformation is the only constant, this mindset may well be the most important outcome of all."
To Bonhomme, TIEMBA was not a hiatus, but an accelerant for his career. It re-anchored his strategic thinking, widened his horizons, and reaffirmed the belief that leadership today must be grounded in curiosity, empathy, and courage.
Bonhomme said that for those who are seeking a program that offers not just academic excellence but deep human connection, global exposure, and enduring transformation, TIEMBA is a truly exceptional path.
