The 2005-6 (124th) President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS),Steve is a global advisor to data providersReal Capital Analyticsand a founding partner of the New York valuation practice, Williams-Murdoch, Inc.As an advisor to the capital markets, he currently divides his time between the USA, Europe and Asia providing advice on the value of securitized assets.

Educationally, Steve has been a visiting lecturer at Duke University, MIT and an external examiner at MIT and Georgia State Universities. He holds an Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) in UK and is a former Chair of the Center for Real Estate Research at Tsinghua University in Beijing.In the USA, he was Chair of the Appraiser Qualifications Board (1993-99) and is a national USPAP instructor.Steve is a Freeman of the City of London and a member of London's Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors.
