CCWE Held Round Table Discussion on Land Policy and Macro-Control

The Center for China in the World Economy (CCWE), Tsinghua Univ., held the round table discussion on Land Policy and Macro-Control in Shunde Building at the School of Economy and Management (SEM) of Tsinghua Univ on April 24, 2005.

Among the participants were renowned experts and scholars from home and abroad, including

Mr. LIU Shouying Researcher of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), PRC;

Mr. TANG Min Chief Economist of the Asian Development Bank in Beijing Office;

Mr. FANG Xinghai Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Stock Exchange;

Prof. AI Chunrong Prof. of Univ. of Florida & Special-term Prof. of SEM, Department of Economics;

Prof. XU Chenggang Prof. of London School of Economics & Special-term Prof. of SEM, Department of Economics;

Prof. LI Daokui Director of CCWE and Prof. of Department of Economics of SEM (as presider);

Prof. BAI Chong'en Dean of Department of Economics of SEM;

Prof. WEI Jie Prof. of Department of Enterprise Strategy and Policy

Prof. HUA Ruxing Prof. of Department of Economics;

Prof. GONG Gang Prof. of Department of Economics.

Since its establishment in last September, CCWE has already hosted a string of seminars and public lectures on some key policy issues in Chinese economy by inviting some full-time and part-time researchers to participate, and achieved fruitful results.

To leverage the academic exchange program, CCWE arranges the round table discussion and will make it consistent. The goal is to promote roundtable dialogues among eminent scholars from home and abroad on some hot and crucial issues concerning Chinese economy.

It's reported that more seminars are going to be held this year, including the International Seminar on Beijing Industrial Economy this early June, and the China-Russia Economic Development Seminar collaborated with China Center for Economic Research, Peking University and the research institutions of Russia this Sep. and Oct.
