OnSept. 28, 2006, the 2006 International Students Welcoming Cocktail Party was hosted by Tsinghua SEM at TAFI restaurant. The First Associate Dean, Qian Yingyi attended the party on behalf of SEM school heads. Professors Qian Xiaojun, Zhang Jin, Chi Wei and Xiequn were also present as faculty representatives.

Tsinghua MBA Program enrolled 40 international degree students and 46 exchange students this fall semester. With the rapid growth of the international student body, Tsinghua SEM has made a lot of adjustment and improvement in academic and administrative management in order to meet the requirement of internationalization. The cocktail party was elaborately prepared byMBACenterand international students, aiming to strengthen the communication and understanding between international students and faculty of SEM.

Dean Qian and the other faculty members present conversed happily with international students in a cheerful atmosphere. All the students appreciated such an opportunity to exchange ideas closely with school heads and faculty and get to know about the school, the study and life they are going to face. While giving students quite a lot of useful suggestions, faculty members listened to students' opinions and answered their questions.

Dean Qian commended the internationalization process of the MBA program. He encouraged more exchange and communication opportunities like this and put forward new requests and suggestions regarding future development. International students expressed their appreciation of and enthusiastic support for MBA program internationalization. All the faculty and students believe that with their joint efforts, MBA program will move steadily forward in getting internationalized.
