Graduation and Degree Award Ceremony of the Second Tsinghua-UTS Sports Management Masters Degree Program was held at Shunde Building on October 21, 2006.

Qian Yingyi, Dean of Tsinghua SEM, Li Yuhong, Vice-Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Tsinghua, Xue Lei, Director of Tsinghua EDP, Rob Lynch, Dean of Business School of the University of Technology, Sydney, and Tracy Taylor, Associate Dean and Academic Director of Sports Management Master Program, attended the activity hosted by Li Hua, Director of Tsinghua-UTS Joint Master of Management in Sport Management Program.

Qian expressed warm congratulations to students, hoping them to keep in mind Tsinghua spirit of “Self-discipline and Social Commitment”, devote themselves to their work with a sense of responsibility and an aggressive attitude, learn from others actively, and contribute to the development of China’s field of sport and success of the incoming Beijing 2008 Olympic Game.

Qian and Rob Lynch conferred on graduates Graduation Certificate of Tsinghua University and Sports Management Master Degree Certificate of University of Technology, Sydney on graduates, respectively.

In order to strengthen contact and communication, students of the first, second and third Sport Management Master Degree Program initiated sodality party together on the eve of the Course Completion Ceremony and launched Tsinghua Alumni Association Sport Management Branch. More than 90 students took part in the activity, which laid a solid foundation for conducting various activities, continuing studies, expanding practice, and promoting friendship
