The Fifth Doctoral Candidates Forum of Tsinghua's School of Economics and Management will open at San Bao Academic Base at Tsinghua University on Oct. 28 to 29. This will be Tsinghua University's 126^thdoctoral academic forum.

Since 2002 when it was initiated, the doctoral forum has gradually gained wide recognition for its contributions to academic knowledge and a flourishing learning atmosphere, thanks to the joint efforts of Tsinghua SEM faculty and doctoral candidates.

To date there have been nearly 80 submissions to this year's forum, a record high. 16 will be selected by the procedure committee and recommended totheTsinghua Journal.This forum, along with the Doctoral Annual Party called Autumn Charm, are the biggest events of the year for doctoral candidates.
