“China Entrepreneurship, Global Horizon"-2006 MIT Sloan-Tsinghua SEM Forum held

Passion, creativity, dreams----wisdom was shinning when young entrepreneurs came close to young MBA students... On Dec.28,the 2006 MIT Sloan-Tsinghua SEM forum opened at Shunde Building, with theme of " China Entrepreneurship, Global Horizon."

Participants at the forum possessed a variety of backgrounds and experience, ranging from returned oversea Chinese venture capitalists to specialists from internationally-renowned investment banks and consulting companies. The distinguished entrepreneurs who have obtained a global vision in their career brought a heated discussion with MBA students, sharing their career stories and ideas about entrepreneurship.

Chen Hong, a “cowboy-style“ venture capitalist from theUnited States, gave an exciting speech as well as an insightful forecast about Chinese market. Another oversea capitalist Deng Feng, who graduated fromTsinghuaUniversityin 1989, analyzed the market in a more rational manner. And“Brand new Ph.D.” Ni Zheng Dong shared with students his entrepreneur story in his undergraduate year. Huang GuoBin and Prof Zhang, both of whom are HR specialists, contributed their opinions about future Chinese entrepreneurship. Huang Guobin from investment banking department of China International Capital Corporation, made comments on IB business. And Mercer HR specialist Prof. Zhang emphasized the importance of business model in the success of entrepreneurship.

MBA students were highly involved in the panel discussion. Students said such interactions gave their opportunities of leaning from successful Chinese entrepreneurs who had oversea experience, which will surely be of great help to their study and their career development in the future.
