Reminiscences from the Gourmet Day:

By International Affairs Committee, MBA Students Association

Dumplings, Beijing Dim Sum, Indian butter chicken, Mexican quesadilla, spaghettis, and even more…

On Nov. 30, more than 100 MBA students gathered at Zijin Dining Hall for the long-awaited Gourmet Day, or “Tao Tie Ri” in Chinese. The event was organized by Tsinghua MBA IAC (International Affairs Committee of MBA Student Association), aiming at promoting friendship within the MBA student body by sharing a variety of delicious cuisines together.

It was an international gourmet festival! Many participants brought special food of their own countries and shared with us. Just to name a few: roasted taros Spaghettis, Korean rice cakes, sushi, Indian butter chicken. In addition, all MBA students made dumplings together in the dinning hall, giving many of the foreign students their first life experience to prepare traditional Chinese food.

Dean Qian, Rachael, Jodie, Jen and Rebecca from the MBA office, as wel as Professor Xie also came to join us. During the party, Dean Qian conveyed to us the importance of international cooperation and communication.

The fun we had at the Gourmet Day and the delicious food we enjoyed have left very good impression to our fellow IMBA students, and we look forward to organize more successful parties like the Gourmet Day to enrich our MBA life in the future.
