The Career Development Center (CDC) of Tsinghua SEM has held a “HR Open Day” and on-campus job fair on March 22, with over twenty employers invited to the campus to know better about Tsinghua SEM students and more than 30 companies offering over 100 job positions for the graduates.

The “HR Open Day” serves as one of the most important measures for CDC to help graduates to develop the employment market. Inviting company representatives to the campus, CDC gave the employers a detailed introduction on Tsinghua SEM, including its international strategy, academic programs, student information and CDC’s career service. The “HR Open Day” aims to provide a platform for sharing HR information with those excellent employers who have built cooperative ties initially with the School.

On the same day, nearly 200 SEM students attended the “2006 On-Campus Career Fair”, searching for their jobs among 103 positions provided by 34 companies including City Bank, China Everbright Bank, Fluke Corporation, Tsinghua Venture Capital, Huaxia Real Estate and Xin’ao Group. CDC has in particular invited a number of state-owned enterprises to attend the job fair in response to the University policy which encourages students to serve for national key industries and key regions of the country. The SOEs attending the fair included Sinochem Corporation, China Print Company, China Railway Construction Electrification Bureau Group, etc..
