2007 Tsinghua MBA Orientation Kicks Off

The 2007 Tsinghua MBA Orientation has kicked off onSeptember 6, 2007. The opening ceremony was held atTsinghuaScienceParkwith 400 new MBAs participating in the event.

Tsinghua has enrolled 412 MBAs this year, 356 of them from the Chinese Mainland, 6 fromHong KongandTaiwan, 50 from abroad. The international students come from diverse countries includingSouth Korea,Japan,Singapore,Thailand,Malaysia, thePhilippines,Australia,Colombia,Kenya,Spain, theUnited States,Britain, andCanada. With an average age 29.3, the participants have 6.2 years business experience on average.

Professor Zhu Hengyuan, Associate Dean of the School and Ms Mao Donghui, Director of Tsinghua MBA Program attended the ceremony and addressed the participants. Representatives from 2nd year students and new students also made presentations at the ceremony.

During the orientation, participant will be asked to perform skills that are required from professional managers through taking part in experiential activities such as outdoor experience, role-plays, simulation and case studies. The activity is designed to help students quickly fit into the new environment and get familiar with the learning methods to be used in the following two years.

It fosters global vision, leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and business ethics as well as the mastery of systematic management knowledge and skills. Tsinghua SEM now offers International MBA Program-a fully English Program, Full Time MBA Program and Part Time MBA Program. The International MBA Program is offered in collaboration with MIT Sloan School of Management.
