On December 3rd and 4th, three Tsinghua MBA students participated in the Clean Tech Forum inBeijing. The Clean Tech Forum is an opportunity for entrepreneurs from bothChinaand the world to showcase new and upcoming technologies in front of Venture Capitalists, Private Equity firms, and other investment banks. For students interested in renewable energy and energy efficiency, the conference was an excellent opportunity for networking and learning more about areas in which an MBA graduate can contribute to China's fast growing clean technology industry.James Wemyss, a 2nd year MBA student from theUnited States, mentioned, "The conference had many great opportunities to see how I could see myself working in this field following graduation. In one moment, I was having dinner with Chinese entrepreneurs trying to market their technology overseas to countries such asMalaysiaandAustralia. They were looking for foreign students with finance and marketing skills. The next moment I was with a group of investment bankers from Hong Kong andBeijing, discussing what they thought of clean technology and how they expect their business to grow in this area."

The conference, organized by the Clean Tech Network, lasted two days and included different panels. This was the inaugural China Cleantech Forum and its purpose was to enable top investors, innovators and influencers to build relationships and identify opportunities to profitably integrateChinainto the world cleantech economy.
