Tsinghua SEM Senior Manager Program (Shanghai Class) has welcomed its new participants on April 19, 2008. The 3th Shanghai Class of Senior Manger Program consists of 45 participants who come from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Taiwan, etc..

The opening ceremony of the program was held at Shanghai Tsinghua Science Park. Director of Tsinghua SEM Executive Development Program (EDP) Center, Professor Xue Lei attended the ceremony. In his address, he said the functions of a university mainly lie in three aspects: cultivating talents, contributing academic knowledge, and providing service for the society; and the educational training had combined the three together; Shanghai Class of Senior Manager Program will convey advanced information in economic research to entrepreneurs from Yangtze River Delta, which may help them make contributions to the economic development of Yangtze River Delta.

The first course for the 3th Shanghai Class is "Human Resources Management", which will be delivered by Dr. Zhang Mian from the Department of Human Resources and Organizational Behavior.
