Tsinghua SEM EMBA Program has seen the founding of its Alumni Association--Beijing Branch on January 10, 2009. The founding ceremony was witnessed by more than 1000 current students from EMBA Program and SEM leaders including Qian Yingyi, Zhao Chunjun, Yang Bin, Chen Guoqing, Liao Li, Zhu Yan, and Zhu Hengyuan.

Beijing Alumni Association, with nearly 1000 members, is SEM EMBA Program's 23rd local alumni association, meanwhile also the largest alumni association in terms of its member. Kang Rixin, Manager General of China National Nuclear Corporation served as the first Chairman of Beijing Alumni Association.

Kang Rixin delivered a speech at the founding ceremony, saying the Tsinghua EMBA Beijing Alumni Association provided a platform for alumni in Beijing to give back the School as well as to deepen the ties among the alumni, and Beijing Alumni Association will further grow to be a bridge linking the School and the outside community.

In his address, Dean Qian Yingyi said the achievement the Tsinghua EMBA Program has made was indispensible with tremendous supports from EMBA alumni. Tsinghua EMBA has been attaching great importance to the development of Tsinghua EMBA alumni association and we believed that Tsinghua alumni would make more contribution in the School's process of becoming a world-leading business school.

Before the founding ceremony, nearly 30 representatives from 22 Tsinghua EMBA local alumni associations gathered together, sharing their views and experience concerning the development of EMBA alumni associations across the country.
