Tsinghua SEM has successfully won the champion title at the 52th Ma Yuehan Cup Sports Meet as its last event--track and field was closed on April 26, 2009.It's the eleventh time for the School to win over the Ma Yuehan Cup after almost one-year-long competition.

This year's Ma Yuehan Cup includes 38 events held throughout the year which culminates in the final competition--track and field. Nearly 100 SEM faculty and staff members as well as current students took part in the competition.

Over 400 SEM students gathered at the competition arena for the awarding ceremony held at Sunday afternoon. Many SEM alumni, who returned to Tsinghua for the University's 98th anniversary celebrations, watched the competition and shared the joy of victory with their juniors together.

Ma Yuehan Cup is named in honor of famed physical education teacher Ma Yuehan, who started his 50-year career at Tsinghua in 1914. For this year, Tsinghua SEM has won male and female team champion (Group A) for the event of track and field as well as the Champion title for Group A competition.
