During April 25-26, 2009, the SEM community came together to celebrate the 98th anniversary of Tsinghua University with two-day-long events for students, faculty, and staff.

A reunion banquet was held at the Unisplendour Exchange Center on the night of April 25, with more than 150 SEM alumni along with a number of current faculty members and retired teachers attending the banquet. SEM's Retired Dean Zhao Chunjun, Associate Dean Yang Bin, Associate Dean Chen Zhangwu, Associate Dean Zhu Yan were also present at the banquet.

A series of celebration activities were held during these two days. Alumni gathered together to share their life understandings after part with each other for decades.
