During July 16-18, the Annual Conference of the Academy of Innovation and Entrepreneurship 2009 was held at Tsinghua SEM. Hosted by Tsinghua SEM and co-organized by the University's National Entrepreneurship Research Center and Research Center for Technological Innovation, as well as Sanjaya Lall Programme on Technology and Management for Development, University of Oxford, the conference brought together around 80 experts representing 17 nationalities in the field of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The three-day conference has two panels, with 14 keynote speeches. Topics covered 14 fields including “innovative and entrepreneurial strategies", "industrial focus in innovation and entrepreneurship", "business model", "technology-based venturing", "creation and management of family business", "innovation clusters and Science Park","corporate venture", "patenting and licensing management", "service innovation","entrepreneurial finance" and "entrepreneurship environment and policy" etc..
