The Tsinghua-Berkeley Global Technological Entrepreneurship Education Program Launched

Tsinghua University and UC-Berkeley have joined forces to launch a new education program on technological entrepreneurship on June 26.

The new program targets at Tsinghua's current graduates and students of higher grade from the science disciplines with excellent English skills and entrepreneurial passion. Courses will be taught jointly by the faculties both from Tsinghua and UC-Berkley and focuses on fostering professionals which will help to enhance a company's self-innovation capability and international competitiveness.

Gao Celi, Deputy Dean of Tsinghua University Graduate School; Qian Yingyi, Dean of Tsinghua SEM; Peng Kaiping, tenured professor from the Department of Psychology of UC-Berkley and Chair of the Department of Psychology of Tsinghua University; Xia Guangzhi, Deputy Director of Tsinghua University International Office; Gérard Roland, Chair of the Department of Economics as well as representatives from 12 partner companies attended the opening ceremony of the Tsinghua-Berkeley Global Technological Entrepreneur Education Program.

The program's first class will be opened in fall semester of 2009. Curriculum included “Innovation and Entrepreneurship”, “Global Leadership”, “Innovation and Entrepreneurship”, “Technological Management and Intellectual Property Management“ etc..
