China Forum of Industrial Economics and Management Held in Tsinghua SEM

The China Forum of Industrial Economics and Management held its commencement ceremony in Tsinghua SEM on January 23, 2010. This executive management training program is hosted by China Institute of Industrial Economics and Management (CIIEM), co-supported by Tsinghua SEM, Peking University’s National School of Development and China Federation of Industrial Economics (CFIE).

Present at the ceremony were XU Kuangdi, President of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chairman of CFIE, QIAN Yingyi, Dean of Tsinghua SEM, ZHOU Qiren, Dean of the National School of Development, Peking University, ZHAO Chunjun, Senior Vice President of CFIE and President of CIIEM.

XU Kuangdi briefly introduced the macro-economic situation and challenges faced by the industrial enterprises. He said, the forum is expected to promote exchanges and convey the information about the trends in national economics and future development of business entities. Dean QIAN Yingyi and Dean ZHOU Qiren saw the forum as a significant contribution to the cultivation of senior management talents within the industrial circle. ZHAO Chunjun introduced the aims of the forum, hoping it could set a new mode of senior management education.

In the afternoon, the forum held a discussion on the theme “Low Carbon Economy,” drawing together experts in the fields of low carbon technologies and management. About 160 participants attended the ceremony and the forum discussion.
