SEM’s Career Development Center (CDC) held the first “Weekend Professional Lecture” on March 14. The keynote speaker was JIAO Zhen, the founder and Managing Director of CDH Investments.

The lecture marks the beginning of a series of career development events held by CDC in the spring semester. It is co-organized by CDCand the Private Equity and Venture Capital Institute under the China Center for Financial Research.

In the lecture, JIAO Zhen shared his investment experience and stories behind some well-known brands with SEM students, who developed a more vivid understanding of the PE and VC industry via his speech.

After the lecture, CDC invited Ms. XU, Human Resources Director of CDH Investments, to answer ten students’ professional inquiries on individual bases.

More career events from CDC are coming along this semester, including a job hunting skills training session co-held with Human Resource Association for Foreign and Chinese Enterprises, PE investment lectures supported by the Private Equity and Venture Capital Institute, and a career advisory forum given by CDC consultants.

Lectures and other events designed by CDC have provided a platform of communication between students and employers invited. There has been interview offers given to students who talked with guest employers since the beginning of CDC events only a week ago.
