Her talk,”Lessons from Silicon Valley in Innovation and Entrepreneurship”, will describe the history and entrepreneurial environment in Silicon Valley, California, the premier entrepreneurship ecosystem in the world. Silicon Valley has a unique culture that enables people to take risks and create new ventures. She will speak about how Silicon Valley started, elements of the culture, the role of venture capital , current trends and overall factors that make a successful startup environment.

演讲人简介:Stephanie Marrus is Director of the Entrepreneurship Center at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), a sister campus to Berkeley, another University of California campus. Prior to joining UCSF a year ago, she had a long career in industry taking executive roles in technology and life science companies with entrepreneurial roots. She has been CEO, Chief Operating Officer and head of Business Development and Marketing in a number of public and private companies. She moved to California ten years ago and became part of the Silicon Valley ecosystem.

She has taught entrepreneurship at Stanford, Berkeley and globally including Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
