The Department of Economics is thrilled to announce thatLiangjun SUhas joined the faculty, beginning in the fall of 2020, as a Chair Professor. Professor Su is an econometrician whose prolific output spans many different areas including econometric theory, nonparametric econometrics, financial econometrics, and spatial econometrics, among others. In addition to his many influential published articles, he is a Co-editor of the journal Econometric Theory and of The Oxford Handbook of Applied Nonparametric and Semiparametric Econometrics and Statistics. Professor Su did his undergraduate studies at Xi’an Jiao Tong University, his masters at Tongji University, and he obtained his Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego. Prior to joining Tsinghua SEM, he was the Lee Kong Chian Professor of Economics at Singapore Management University.
