The 2017 Annual Meeting of the Chinese Association of Quantitative Economics was held October 20-22, 2017 at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.

At the meeting, the association established a newAward for Excellent Contributions to Quantitative Economics in China, to recognize deserving economists. Tsinghua Professor Emeritus Zinai Li won this award for his extraordinary role in the development of the association and in helping advance the study of quantitative economics in China.

Also, the association established theChinese Quantitative Economics Outstanding Researcher Awardto recognize those who have made significant contributions to teaching and research in the field. Tsinghua Professor Wenqing Pan was given this award for his novel work in quantitative economics.
